Welcome to Caregivers Night Out
Caregiving is one of life's most profound acts of service. Every day, millions of Americans quietly devote themselves to the wellbeing of others—spouses, parents, children, friends, and neighbors. In fact, over 53 million adults in the United States currently serve as unpaid caregivers, offering critical support to loved ones living with chronic illnesses, disabilities, or aging-related challenges.

This staggering figure means approximately one in five Americans are quietly performing roles that, if monetized, would be valued between $600 and $870 billion annually. Yet, despite the economic and social significance of this work, caregivers frequently grapple with emotional exhaustion, financial hardship, and isolation.
Caregiving is also unevenly distributed. Women bear the brunt of unpaid caregiving, accounting for around 65 percent of this labor, often balancing caregiving tasks with their own careers and family responsibilities. For many caregivers—particularly those in the "sandwich generation," caring simultaneously for children and aging relatives—daily life becomes a delicate balance of obligations, resulting in high levels of stress, anxiety, and burnout.
This reality underscores why it's so vital for caregivers to pause, recharge, and reconnect with themselves and each other. To provide a restorative experience, Fund Mental Healthcare is hosting Caregivers Night Out on Thursday, June 26th.
